The SOAP Symposium (Study of Open Access Publishing) is a free post(APE conference)-conference event which aims at presenting facts on Open Access for publishers, funding agencies and libraries: an in-depth study on what publishers offers and what researchers really want.
The SOAP consortium will hold a symposium at the Harnack House of the Max Planck Society in Berlin, where the project results will be presented and discussed, including an in-depth study of the business models, market success, similarities and differences of several thousand Open Access journals, and a unique large-scale survey on the (surprising) attitudes, drivers and barriers for Open Access Publishing of tens of thousands of researchers across disciplines and around the world.
Registration is now open (free of admission charge); further information on the programme and logistics will be added on the event webpage in due time.
