The OAPEN conference, supported by EOS (Enabling Open Scholarship) and SPARC Europe, aims at creating awareness for the Open Access future of academic monographs in the humanities and social sciences. Of course, the results of the OAPEN project will be presented, but there are also internationally‐recognized speakers from the various stakeholder groups involved in book publishing in the humanities and social sciences: rectors, librarians, funders of research and publishers.

The conference will take place in the "Senatssaal" of the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (Unter den Linden 6). There will be a preconference meeting on Thursday 24th of February with a reception at 17.00 followed by an (optional) dinner at the Restaurant "Berliner Republik" which is within walking distance of the university building. The conference will start at 09h30 on Friday 25th of February and finish at 16h30.
