Major Chinese libraries united against unreasonable price increases by some international publishers

Chinese libraries against high prices of international STM journals

On 1 September, 33 major Chinese libraries, led by National Science & Technology Libraries, the National Library of China, Beijing University Library, and the National Science Library of CAS, issued a joint statement to international publishers to protest against the planned unreasonable price increases by a few international journal publishers, and to announce joint actions in negotiation with those publishers in order to keep down the price inflation rate.
